What is Pol-Ed?

Pol-Ed is an educational programme made up of various phases of intervention, working collaboratively with the educational sector, Police Forces, Local Authorities and wider partners with our main aim – Keeping Children Safe.

We work with teachers, police forces and local authorities to empower children with knowledge and skills that help them stay safe and make positive informed choices.

Resources for your Force Area

The purpose of the programme is to meet the policing priorities, DfE curriculum framework and Ofsted lines of inquiry in order to keep our children safe and prepare them for their future roles in society.

Phases of Intervention

Pol-Ed provides Schools, Police Forces and Community Organisations in Local Authorities with a wide-range of resources to be delivered to Children and Young People, as part of a phased approach to prevention and early intervention.

 

Phase 1
For Schools

An education programme, written by teachers for teachers to use as part of the PSHE, RSHE, Citizenship and Personal Development Curriculum.

Phase 2
For Forces
For LAs

A range of educational inputs, created by subject matter experts and specialist departments within force.

Phase 3
For Forces

A range of educational inputs to be delivered to those children who are on the periphery of falling into criminality.
