Pol-Ed supports schools in delivering expertly planned lessons designed to develop a deep awareness of risks, citizenship, and the law. The Pol-Ed team have focussed the coverage of the materials to address priority areas of policing, such as sexual violence and harassment; child on child abuse; and the perception that young people have of the police.
Our resources are built around developing a range of values, skills and attributes which will allow our pupils to apply the knowledge they learn to situations making well-balanced and positive decisions.
For secondary schools, we are aware that many of our lessons are used during form time and so they are designed to be taught flexibly, with planning highlighting how a session can be used for 60, 40 or even 20 minutes and remain impactful. This flexibility allows Pol-Ed to meet the different needs of a vast range of settings.
